Home is where the heart is! In this case Trevor and Marina have an adorable house in San Francisco on a very, very steep hill. They invited us not only into their home but wanted to show us their escapes in the city and their adorable corgi! Thank you so much Marina and Trevor for sharing your city with us. We can not wait to continue telling your love story!
The journey to find the love of your life might take you across mountains, across states, flying between continents, over a river or through the woods, or maybe she is just 4 minutes away from your house and you were so close but never knew it. It is kind of fun when the love you were always looking for is literally around the corner and all you had to do was go outside and be present. Angie and Mervin had mutual friends for longer than either of them would have guessed before hanging out one evening with all of their friends at a haunted house. One side note is before their first meeting Mervin had already heard of this cute girl who moved back home to California from NY who was single and really cute. Lucky for Mervin, his friend was not lying on either of those statements. Haunted houses were not Angie’s favorite thing but Mervin turned out to be the big scaredy cat, hiding from all the scary things. Seeing this, Angie decided to chat with Mervin and come up with a solution for their fears. They decided to run hand in hand and surprise the unsuspecting haunted house employees instead of being the ones scared. When I first heard this I could imagine these two running around laughing and having a blast.
Fun and laughter is a defining thing in their relationship. It is always infectious when Mervin starts to be a bit goofy and gets not only Angie laughing, but everyone who is surrounding them becomes filled to the brim with joy because of the infectious fun they create together. Lisa and I finally met these two in person last friday when we photographed their engagement session at Sutro Baths in San Francisco. The thing is, we already knew so much about each other it was as if we were hugging friends we had not seen in months. I knew how infectious Mervin was and how sweet and kind Angie was going to be, and trust me they were exactly how I knew they were going to be. Playful is really saying lightly in describing how these two are for each other. They support each other when they need it, like Mervin having Angie hop on his back so she didn’t have to walk down a steep hill in high heels or Angie supporting Mervin while he is tying his shoes on the edge of a cliff. They are just perfectly intertwined in their love for each other and honestly it shows. There are so many details I could go on about their relationship and how these two people make everyone around them become better people but I will save that for the wedding. For now please enjoy their beautiful engagement session, and know that our hearts are overflowing with joy and thankfulness that we were able to capture your love Angie and Mervin! See you soon!
Love truly is an adventure, and our couples invite us into their lives to capture one small piece of that story. A wedding is a small, amazing moment of time, that I see, not as a starting point but as step forward into deeper adventures in life, love, and crazy. How deep each couple wades, and if they want to swim out to where they can not see the bottom is a choice we each make. What I love about marriage is that there is no right answer to so many of the questions we have about the life and future a couple creates that day. What truly matters for me is that I can smile and wake up each day to a new adventure with my best friend and wife hand in hand together as equals. We help lift, push, pull and prod to get to the next day together. I look at each day as a new day, one with no past, and one with an uncertain future, and a day I am willing to live as full as I can make it. Together we can do it.
To say Tanvi and Stuart’s wedding was an adventure would be to understate it entirely. They chose to have not one, or two days to celebrate, but three beautiful days of ceremonies, parties, family, friends, dancing, eating, and love. I will tell you there was a lot of everything on that list for three days straight last month and it was filled with more color and delight than we even anticipated. We were honored with having the whole photography team to be a part of capturing their wedding story. Francisco, Lisa and I were filled each new day with dreams of colorful attire, bountiful meals, and so many kind people enjoying themselves. Each new day our previous dream because the beauty we are wanting to share today. These photos are just from their wedding day. We have plenty more to share at a later date! I will let you know there was fire, a white horse, knives, dancing, and more ahead of you. Thank you so much Tanvi and Stuart for allowing us to capture your beautiful day in Danville at the Crow Canyon Country Club.
I hope all of you had a delightful holiday over the weekend! Geoff and I enjoyed a couple days off to spend with our friends and family. I have such a wonderful holiday treat for you today! We posted about their wedding design suite last week and today we are so excited to share with you Andrew and Erica’s wedding photos! First of all, Andrew and Erica are one of the most stylish couples we’ve had the pleasure of working with. It’s so easy to see how perfect they are for each other. They are both so sweet and their San Francisco pink retro Christmas wedding was nothing short of fabulous!
I am so excited to show you all of the amazing details at this wedding! Andrew and Erica worked so hard to put together an incredibly beautiful celebration. I think Erica has to be one of the most creative brides we have worked with! Let’s get to it! Erica decorated her shoes with sparkles on the heels and pink bows on the toes. So cute!
She MADE all of the flowers for the bouquets out of crepe paper and arranged them herself.
Her bouquet’s ribbon had a heart emblem that matched Andrew’s boutonniere.
I was with Erica for her final touches of getting ready at the church. She looked amazing! I was in love with her dress!
Geoff got to snap some shots of Andrew before the ceremony. Her was looking as handsome and stylish as ever!
Loving the pink socks!
The ceremony was held at St. Ignatius Church. Wow, was it ever beautiful.
The programs were designed by us to match her bright pink retro Christmas theme. Be sure to check out their entire design suite in their design post!
After the ceremony, we headed to the Palace of Fine Arts for portraits.
We finished up as the sun set over the Golden Gate Bridge, then headed off to the reception at the Century Club of California. Let me tell you, this place was transformed into a Winter Wonderland by Andrew and Erica with the help of their friends and family. It was GORGEOUS!
We designed these cute escort cards. They are made out of chocolates, yum!
When the guests entered the reception room after cocktail hour, they were greeted with Glee’s version of “Pure Imagination” and THIS! It was magical.
They used photos from their engagement session as the table numbers.
Okay, this I think is just to die for. Check out the marquee-stlye letters that Andrew and Erica MADE! What an adorable and whimsical touch for the photo booth. SMILE!
This had to have been the cutest plate of salad EVER. The beets are cut into hearts! I just about died when I saw that. Could this wedding get any more adorable?!
Andrew and Erica, we cannot thank you enough for choosing us to be a part of your wedding! It was a beautiful, amazing, unforgettable day and we know your life together will be no different!
