So our love for each other started one evening in May, I saw you from across the room. You had a fuji camera round your neck and this gorgeous girl with you who could not stop laughing and smiling. I was photographing one of her best friend’s wedding and you were a fun creative designer. I do not know if it was you who saw me or me you first, but that evening we chatted a ton. Your now wife and I continued to follow each others antics for the next couple years on social media and have been able to see each other grow and become the people we are all today. Today though is so much more important, as you two are married. I honestly do not know who I am really writing this love letter to. I kid, promise, it is to both of you. To you Joyce, I do not have to tell you that you are unabashedly yourself. It is this rare bliss to see in a human being, an elation that bubbles forth, overpowering sadness with your infectious love. You have left a path of happy throughout your life to this point, and I sit here too, overcome. Wishing that I knew how to be this type of person you are, I write this, knowing I have so much to let go of to become someone who can love and laugh with so much freedom. Ben you love and support a very powerful and strong woman, whom loves and supports you beyond your own imagination.
My wonderful reader, you are about to embark on a journey of love through Ben and Joyce’s eyes and hearts. It is love like this that reminds me why we photograph weddings. A love that burns brighter than anyone else in the room, one you can see burning in front of you hours after they have left. It is not about passionate love, but one of excitement through infectious laughter that leaves this almost longing impression for more. One that puts life as a priority in each new day, allowing each other to take in the goodness of the passing moments. I am going to let these photos speak for themselves, but all I see is a relationship built on the strengths of each other. One that is strongly supported by their closest friends and family. Thank you Ben and Joyce for trusting Lisa and I to help you tell your love story. I do not know how to thank you enough for showing us your love.
Just going to say that Ben’s custom made Indochino suit was awesome. I mean look at the liner and vest material…
