Britni and Shane are married! These two have both been making some amazing steps together as a couple. The first step was their meeting at their High School Reunion. Who would of guessed that would be the place you would find the love of your life. They ended up not only hanging out but going back to Britni’s parents property with all of their friends for a big party after the reunion. It just so happens her parents have a “small” 80 acre parcel where it is easy for tons of their friends to just enjoy being together. It took that one night to kick-off these two supporting each other as soul mates. They recently bought a house they are fixing up together, the same week they were married Shane became a fire captain, and their close friends and family gathered for an amazing celebration. You can see that they have a lot of fun loving supportive friends and family once you get to their party. I am not going to lie those firefighters really know how to party! Their wedding was at Arden Hills in Sacramento which was a perfect setting for their party!
Sean and Kelly love Lake Tahoe as it is there getaway place from the everyday life, down in the valley. Luckily enough Sean’s parents have a cabin in Truckee to enable the easy escape! Our original plan was to meet at Donner Lake and enjoy the scenery there. It happened we all chose the one day when it decided to finally rain in California. If you did not know, California is in a really nasty drought. Lisa and I sat in our car an hour early just hoping the rain was going to stop. It just kept falling from the skies swirling over us with no relent. Thankfully I happen to know the area very well. As we were driving in we made our plans for come cool spots to take photos overlooking the lake. I also knew I had to be coming up with a backup plan because what really mattered to these two was being in the outdoors, and being there together. Since the rain never stopped we drove up the road to a couple of my hidden gem locations! We had breathtaking views of the Sierra Mountains along with beautiful high alpine fields to run around in. I was so happy we turned a rainy day into one filled with sunshine and beauty! Thank you so much for trusting us to take care of you two. We had a lot of fun getting to know you and have your engagement session in Lake Tahoe!
We could not be happier sharing a small peek into Melanie and Mike’s life. Mike is a tech genius by day and Crossfit Gym owner by night. Even Melanie has her secret identity as well. By day she is an amazing Legislative Aid to the California Senate and a Radierette by night! It is funny that I didn’t think about the fact that they both have these fun, adventurous, and you can almost say double lives together. The had recently bought their first house together in Folsom and could not be happier to be a stones throw from Sutter Street. They love the fact that they can walk together and eat dinner, have a beer, or just walk around Old Folsom enjoying each others time. They may be a busy couple but any moment they have is enjoyed with each other. Their engagement session was beyond perfect since we started in their adorable home. They painted it all white instead of beige which made it full of light. Her Grandmother’s chairs and tables were in the house which made Lisa and I smile. Having something that special is kind of amazing. Specially since her grandfather made the coffee table. After hanging out at their house we took a walk down Sutter Street and stopped at a couple of their favorite spots. The sun was setting and we knew we had to go down the street to a favorite spot for the summer, Folsom Lake. For those of you who do not know California is having the worst drought ever. Lisa and I had been a few weeks before to the lake and Lisa said it was like walking on another planet. We took their adorable dog Duckie with us for a walk. I still can not get over how amazing sunset was that day. Thank you again Melanie and Mike for sharing with us a little piece of what makes you two such a sweet, caring, and fun couple. We can not wait for your wedding!
