What is it that you want to remember from your wedding day? For Eric and Mandy, they wanted to remember that they had fun, and that they enjoyed a fun brunch with the people that mean everything to them. They wanted a day that was simply filled with love from their village. The foundation they wanted to create with each other was one founded in love from their family and friends. I have not seen two people be so goofy at their own wedding, but that says a lot for someone that on the first day of their honeymoon is at a cat cafe in South Korea. Eric and Mandy steal our hearts when it comes to goofy sweethearts. They had decided that a Sunday brunch was perfect. Who doesn’t love unlimited mimosas and lots of sweet and savory. Sure there was cake, but the dessert bar opened during brunch…it was heaven! Would you like some bread pudding or a slice or cake with your prime rib and eggs benedict…why not? Their wedding at Grand Island Mansion was perfect for them. It ended it laughs and hugs…which is exactly how it started. Thank you so much for inviting us to capture your love story and sharing yourselves with us. Your friends and family are amazing and your brunch wedding at Grand Island Mansion was PERFECT!
In a place like NYC a bus stop is a place that can tell a lot of stories. This bus stop helps to tell this simple love story. A boy and girl decided to meet after finding each other online, Yogesh working on his PHD, and Mohana working on her MD, both Indian, one born here in the US, the other born in India, finding each other in this massive city. It was at this stop Yogesh would wait with Mohana on late nights to make sure she was safely headed to her house in the Bronx. It was here so many days of fun and laughter would start and end. It is funny to think about that sign, and a corner can mean the beginning and end to so many amazing memories. We were even lucky enough to be standing there right as their bus pulled up. I would say we were lucky that day, it was the only sunny day in NY that week, Lisa and I had only been seeing rain, and welcomed this perfect day. I had actually never been to New York before this. Mohana and Yogesh are getting married just outside Sacramento, but have spent their entire relationship on the east coast. Having a session near my home would of never made sense, if we wanted to create photographs that told their story. Instead they had me fly out to tell their love story. We started at their bus stop, took a walk through Central Park(which was only two short blocks from the bus stop) and ended with sunset overlooking Manhattan. You tell me if these two are in love…Just look at the way they make each other smile. Especially Mohana, her laugh is infectious, I understand why Yogesh fell for her. Thank you again for believing in what we do Mohana and Yogesh, seeing your love, in the city that means so much to you was a perfect way to spend this afternoon.
The Presidio in San Francisco is the perfect place for an intimate wedding. You can get lost in the trees, hide between all the building, and get married in an adorable historic chapel. Trevor and Marina allowed us to peer into their day to capture the love and celebration they had with their closest friends and family. It was one amazing day they share with everyone at The Presidio in San Francisco.
Thank you again for sharing your beautiful wedding. We could not have been more honored to capture your perfect wedding in The Presidio.
