Andrew & Erica’s train station, fab forties engagement session

Andrew and Erica’s wedding is definitely one of the most anticipated of the year for us! And that is because Andrew and Erica are one amazingly creative and awesome couple! When Erica showed us her idea for their engagement session we were all about it. They wanted to start at the train station to symbolize how they are arriving in to their new life together and we finished in Sacramento’s Fab Forties, where they want to live and put down some roots. And come on, how fabulous are their outfits! Love Erica’s trench with the bright pops of pink and bling and Andrew can wear a bow tie with the best of ’em.

I love this one taken by Geoff!

How cute is that sign?! I mentioned that we are super excited for the wedding which Andrew and Erica are calling their little “art project”. I LOVE that! Erica has shared with me so many of her amazing ideas and here at The Goodness, we even got to design Andrew and Erica’s Save the Dates, Invitations and will be creating other fun little details for the wedding! Can’t wait to share it all!

We headed inside the train station and let me tell you, the light was MAGICAL in there!

So fab.

Then we headed over to one of Sacramento’s most famous neighborhoods, The Fabulous Forties. Andrew and Erica have dreams of living there one day (ME TOO!) and this house with hot pink flowers in front was the perfect photo spot.

Erica is a beauty, isn’t she?

Andrew and Erica, we had an amazing time creating some really fun photos at your engagement session! I am so in love with how they turned out. We are beyond excited for the wedding in just a couple months!

John and Laura’s Golden Gate Park engagement session

Another San Francisco engagement session! John and Laura really brought the awesome! It was such a struggle to NOT post every image we took that day, so yeah, you get lots of pretty pictures! John and Laura were such a sweet couple. The day of their engagement session was our first time meeting them in person and it got us even more excited for their wedding next July. The first shot is from around their neighborhood and boy was it WINDY!

We survived the wind and headed to Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park where John and Laura had their first date.

It was so awesome that the fall colors were finally beginning to show themselves.

Aren’t they such a handsome couple!? They are going to look amazing at their wedding!!!

John and Laura love baseball so they couldn’t resist getting some shots playing a little game of catch.

After a fun time at the park, we headed up the hill to get some shots with the bridge and one of out new favorite little nature-y photo spots.

It was a bit muddier than we expected, but that didn’t get Laura down! Heels in hand, she walked around in bare feet through the squishy dirt. Laura, you are awesome! And the shots below are a few of my favorites. So colorful and dreamy…

One last shot for ya! LOVE it!

After we finished, John and Laura were even kind enough to buy us ice cream from Smitten which was kind of a life changing experience. I fall even more in love with these two all the time. 🙂 Congrats on your engagement John and Laura! We had so much fun!

Doris and Mark’s Davis lifestyle engagement session

Mark and Doris spent a good portion of their early relationship in Davis while Mark was attending UC Davis. So they knew it would be the perfect spot to do their engagement photos. We always love to photograph an engagement session in a place that is personal to the couple and we were able to do that in just about every spot we went that day! We started at the Davis farmers market which was without a doubt the place to BE that night! So many people were enjoying the nice weather.

A kind stranger was nice enough to let us use their bicycle as a prop!

The next place we went was Baskin Robbins, where Mark and Doris had their first date!

Next, Mark and Doris took us through Mark’s old neighborhood to a favorite little bench.

Aren’t they cute! So excited to see them all dressed up for the wedding!

Then we headed over to Mark’s alma matter, the UC Davis campus for a few shots in the arboretum.

In college Mark spent a lot of time in the greenhouses because of his major, so we were THRILLED when one of the faculty let us in to take some photos. I loooooved shooting in the greenhouse!

Mark and Doris, we had a great time with you! We can’t wait for the wedding in just a few short weeks!

Cole and Megan’s San Francisco date night engagement session

Ooooh yeah, SF engagement session number two! Love, love, love Cole and Megan! 1. They are super cute. 2. They own a farm that they take care of together. 3. They love to do adventurous outdoors-y things. 4. Did I mention the farm? So awesome! So super duper excited about their wedding next year! For their San Francisco engagement session, we decided to do a “date night in the city”. First stop was a cute cafe in Union Square.

Look who was showing off in Union Square! Ha!

Ready to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, we headed to another perfect date spot, the Marin Headlands, with its gorgeous views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco.

Love the boots! They are farmers, after all!

Love romantic kissy sunset photos like this. Cole and Megan bringing the hotness!

Could you think of a more perfect end to a fantastic date than a walk together on the beach at sunset? I think not!

I love that they were down to get their feet wet!

Cole and Megan, you were awesome and we are simply in LOVE with your engagement photos! We love that we get work with you and be a part of your wedding! Sooooo much good stuff to come!

Amy and Greg’s urban San Francisco engagement session

Get ready for a whole lotta lovin’ coming from the City by the Bay! We’ve been shooting San Francisco engagement sessions like crazy and we are so excited to share. Let’s kick things off with Amy and Greg! This right here is a great couple with undeniably fun and quirky personalities. We are so excited for their upcoming wedding in a little over a month! Amy and Greg live in San Francisco, so they took us to some of their favorite spots around their neighborhood. The first place we went was bustling Dolores Park, filled with lots of people enjoying a beautiful San Francisco afternoon.

Say…what are these two laughing about??

Charming! I think he was showing off for us.

Here at The Goodness, we are always on the lookout for some good color. Love these purple flowers as much as sweet expressions of the cute couple in front of them. 🙂

Next we headed to Clarion Alley, a famous alleyway of some seriously amazing street art.

Speaking of loving color, we were completely gaga over this place!

Love this photo so much! Amy and Greg you are simply too cool…

For sunset, we headed up to Twin Peaks for some awesome city views.

Seriously so, so much fun. Amy and Greg, thank you for showing us some new spots in the City! We cannot wait for your wedding!

There are so many good things to say about their wedding day. We started off with their first look in an amazing antique store patio (love, love, love!) and then they got married and celebrated at one of the prettiest golf courses we’ve shot at, Cold Springs Golf and Country Club in Placerville, Ca.
