John and Katie’s Walnut Creek engagement session

Oh my goodness, we LOVE Katie and John! The have such fun personalities, and they kept us laughing the whole shoot. Because John and Katie met and used to live in Walnut Creek, the thought it would be the perfect place to take their engagement photos. And let me tell you, Downtown Walnut Creek is adorable! So many cute little shops and parks.

They are so darn cute.

Don’t you just love romantic shots like this one? Way to bring the sexy, John and Katie!

Um, Katie…are you kidding me!? Isn’t she beautiful?! Katie is going to make such a stunning bride!

Finally we headed up top one of Walnut Creek’s parking structures to capture this beautiful view of Mt. Diablo. Love it!

We had so much fun with John and Katie and are even more excited for their New Years Eve wedding at the Citizen hotel. They are partying through midnight and I can’t think of a better way to ring in the new year!

Happy Thanksgiving from the Bardots!

Wow, Geoff and I really have soooo much to be thankful for this year. We’ve been so lucky to experience so much and meet so many wonderful people this year. Here at casa Bardot, this Thanksgiving is particularly exciting because we are hosting for the very first time ever at our house. I have been having a ton of fun decorating our dinner table and I thought it would be fun to share.

I was most excited bout the centerpiece. I thrifted a bunch of candlesticks and spray painted them purple to match the napkins.

Okay, off to finish getting ready for my family to come over! Geoff has what I’m certain will be the most delicious turkey ever in the oven now and is about to make some homemade mac and cheese. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!

Double teaser time!

We had a couple of amazing engagement sessions last weekend. First was the fun, silly and lovey Nichole and Josh. We went to the beautiful High Hand Nursery in Loomis, which is definitely one of my new favorite places. This photo is simply magical.

The next day we met up with Nick and Jamie and their doggie Tank, who make a pretty adorable trio. We headed out to the delta some cute photos. The light was loving us that day! I adore this one below. More to come soon from both these lovely couples!

Alan and Melissa’s wedding

Never have you met a funner, more carefree couple than the wonderful Alan and Melissa. We loved every moment we got to spend with them and their wedding day was a blast! They were wed at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Midtown Sacramento which was followed by a reception at one of our favorite places, Catta Verdera Country Club in Lincoln. Take a look at some of our favorite captures from the day!

Whew! All that getting ready is hard work! No worries, Alan…it was worth it. You both looked amazing!

Alan and Melissa got to see each other for the first time that day during their first look, which we did at the ever-lovely Capitol Park.

What a fine-looking couple!

After some couple portraits we headed over to St. Francis. Talk about a beautiful church!

After the church service, we headed over to Catta Verdera, which has SO many beautiful places to take photos.

We had a ton of fun with Alan and Melissa’s friends.

So handsome!

Melissa was a STUNNING bride.

LOVE this one.

Party time! The folks at Catta Verdera put on an amazing event. I loved all of Alan and Melissa’s cute details.

When the happy couple made their grand entrance, they went straight into their sweet first dance.

Seriously, I love these guys. They are so full of personality!

One of my favorite parting shots. I love getting the couple out for one last photo before we leave. It’s fun to get creative! This one is so cute.

Alan and Melissa, you two are awesome people who have come so far together and I know you are going to have such a fun life with each other. Your wedding was a fun and love-filled day and we are so thankful to have been a part of it. Many congratulations and best wishes!

Make like a tree…

Fall is really my all-time favorite time of the year. The cool temps, the smell in the air, the colors in the trees. But with autumn comes lots and lots of leaves on the ground. Playing in the leaves? Well, thats just another of my favorite things about fall.

Oh, Charlie. Our dog actually seemed quite content to sit there in the pile and not come even when called.

A treat will work every time! Happy Fall everyone!

Geoff and Ashley are married! (teaser)

Geoff and Ashley’s wedding day turned out to be one of the most beautiful fall afternoons we’ve seen in a long time. Not only was the weather gorgeous, but every other little detail with this wedding was just perfect. It was small and intimate, Geoff and Ashley looked fabulous, and there was so much love circulating through their friends and family. We loved every little bit! I really can’t wait to share the whole wedding day!

Shannan and Eduardo’s sunshine birdsong wedding

We feel so lucky to have been a part of Shannan and Eduardo’s recent wedding at the Monte Verde Inn in Foresthill, CA. It turned out to be such a wonderful day and Shannan and Eduardo included so many adorable personal details. I’ve been so excited to share the photos. Here we go! First off, take a look at the cute map they sent out with their invitations. Shannan actually drew and painted it herself. What a talent!

Yellow being one of their wedding colors, Shannan wore the most fantastic yellow heels. I adore the bright color!

One of the bridesmaids made these cute mixed media necklaces for all the girls and Eduardo’s aunt did all of the beautiful florals. It is always so nice to get people involved like that.

Speaking of more craftiness, check out the boutonnieres that Shannan made for all of the boys. Aren’t they fabulous? I heart billy ball flowers big time!

Time for a really sweet first look. Always my favorite part of the day.

Shannan and Eduardo had a very touching ceremony. So many happy tears and joyful faces.

The details at this wedding did not disappoint either! They incorporated birds into the decor, from the table numbers, to the cake toppers, to the cute little vintage birdcages.

Probably my favorite little detail was the papel picado banners as a nod to Eduardo’s Mexican heritage.

Their smiles were infectious!

A new favorite first dance photo.

Shannan and Eduardo, thank you SO much for letting us capture your amazing wedding day. You two have the best friends and family, and we loved getting to hang out with them all day! We just know you are going to have nothing but happiness in your marriage and we wish you the best!
